Hitachi is building an innovative big data platform for the City of Copenhagen. This initiative will contribute to Copenhagen’s ambitious goals:
The platform is being built in partnership with the City of Copenhagen, the Danish Capital Region, CLEAN (a Danish clean-tech cluster organization), and a consortium of partners. The aim is to take a step further than the already well-known open city data platforms by establishing a city-wide marketplace for the sale and purchase of data between all types of users of the marketplace. This marketplace is called the City Data Exchange and it will be the first time that public data and private data will be integrated into a single solution. It will enable large established companies, small medium sized enterprises, start-ups as well as academia and public sector to come together and integrate multiple sources of information to meet the challenges of sustainability and quality of life.
The City Data Exchange will allow for the sale, purchase and sharing of a wide variety of data from multiple sources between all types of users in a city – citizens, city government, businesses. Read more
